The Practice

A clinical
focus on the
individual.

Arkansas Neurology & Epilepsy is built on the belief that neurological care requires equal measures of technical precision and human patience.

Contemporary medical office interior

We consider the opportunity to practice medicine an honor. To us, patients are not cases to be solved, but individuals with distinct histories and triggers. By focusing on in-depth conversations and complete patient care—from head to feet—we aim to treat the person, not just the symptom.

From the Delta to the Clinic

Dr. Willis Courtney was born and raised in McGhee, Arkansas, in the heart of the Delta region. His journey in medicine began at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by advanced training at Emory University and a specialized Fellowship in Epilepsy with the Minnesota Epilepsy Group.

With over 20 years in private practice, Dr. Courtney has established Arkansas Neurology & Epilepsy as a center for diagnostic excellence. His approach is rooted in the philosophy that the best form of medicine is prevention—collaborating across specialties to ensure the overall health of his patients.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Courtney remains committed to the future of the field, finding purpose in teaching and exposing young people to the possibilities of a career in medicine.
